Port of Stornoway

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, UK)

The Port of Stornoway is the only ferry port serving the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. The port provides a single connection between the island and mainland Scotland.

Facilities at the ferry terminal are limited; however, it is situated in the heart of the town, so options for shopping and eating are plentiful. Safeway and Co-op supermarkets are within walking distance of the terminal and are ideal for all manner of convenience items.

Ferry Services

A single ferry service operated by Caledonian MacBrayne runs between Stornoway and Ullapool on the mainland. There are two return journeys per day and three in peak season, with the approximate journey time being 2 hours, 45 minutes. The MV Isle of Lewis is the vessel operating this route and it is equipped with all basic passenger services and amenities.

Stornoway is one of the burghs located on the isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland and has a population of around 5,600 people. The town forms the administrative centre of the Outer Hebrides and is the home of the Western Isles Council.
