Port of Stornoway
Harbour Hotels and Accommodation
(Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland, UK)
Located in the Outer Hebrides, Stornoway is a burgh on the Isle of Lewis and is home to a mere 7,858 residents. While not high on the list of Scotland's favourite places to visit, the town has a significant transient population on account of its port and as such it experiences a high demand for hotel rooms.
Among the town's most popular hotels, the Cabarfeidh Hotel on Perceval road is a three-star facility, which is reputedly the finest on the island.
The hotel is set amid eight acres of lush green gardens and it overlooks the historic Lews Castle. Other hotels worthy of note include the County Hotel on Francis street, which is just five minutes drive from the ferry terminal, and the Seaforth, which is hailed as Stornoway's largest hotel and is the closest establishment to the ferry port.
